Ravioli Recipe

By:  Joseph Devine

In the frozen food aisle in the grocery store you can kind any variety of ravioli that you may want in a life time. However, have you ever considered making your own?

Fresh pasta is one of those things that most people rarely eat, and so just make-due with the old dry and boil type pasta that most people make every day. But there is something very special about fresh pasta that makes any pasta dish taste just that much better. For a great "homemade" ravioli recipe, try:

-- Beef Ravioli Recipe

Beef Ravioli

First you need to start with the filling. The ingredients for the filling includes a half pound of ground beef, an onion, garlic clove, a fourth cup of parsley, two tablespoons of Parmesan cheese, salt, an egg, and water.燙ook the meat, onion, and garlic in a frying pan, making sure the meat is browned and cooked all the way through. When it is cooked, add the cheese, salt, and egg (the egg will cook in the heat).燭hen refrigerate this mixture for use later.

The dough for the ravioli is the most complicated part of this recipe (okay not really). You will need two and a half cups of flour, two eggs, a fourth cup of water, a tablespoon of olive oil, and a teaspoon of salt. First combine all the ingredients together, mixing it until it becomes stiff.燭ake out the dough and gently knead it to make sure everything is completely mixed. Take a sharp knife and cut the dough into four pieces and roll into a large rectangle. Take a clean ruler and mark twenty four squares on the surface, cutting them with a serrated knife. Next, let the dough dry for about thirty minutes. Finally, boil the ravioli in a large pot; constantly stir so none of the pieces stick together. 燱hen they are finished stuff them with the filling and stick the edges together.

I would recommend making your own sauce from tomato paste, onions, and garlic, something simple so you can enjoy the great taste of your homemade beef raviolis.
