Dealing With the King of Seafood, the Mighty Prawn
Seafood just gets more and more popular as a regular item on our household menus, largely thanks to the scientific discoveries regarding the nutritional benefits of eating products of the sea.?Of the many types of seafood that make it onto our tables, most people have a particularly lustful desire to eat prawns, which according to many people is the most succulent, flavorful, and enjoyable type that they know of.?With this desperation for prawns being what it is, people are always inquisitive about the best way to prepare prawns, and for that reason we will share this classic garlic prawns recipe, which has tantalized seafood lovers unfailingly every time it makes in onto a plate.
To execute this recipe, get your hands on roughly 500 grams of fresh, headless, unshelled prawns (the variety doesn't matter, though green prawns are particularly popular).?Heat roughly a tablespoon and a half of butter (possible to substitute for olive oil, though the final dish will be lacking in the characteristic creaminess that this dish is known for) in a skillet over medium heat.?Once the butter is completely melted, add the prawns to the pan, ensuring that each one is completely resting on the pan and not touching with barely a tip.?Only flip the prawns once, and give them about one minute on each side; this will leave them barely undercooked, at which point you remove and set aside until the last part of this garlic prawns recipe.?/p>
Add a few cloves of minced garlic, some freshly cracked black pepper, and a pinch or two of salt, and once the garlic shows the first sign of goldening, add a splash of chardonnay wine, let burn, and then add one cup of heavy cream and for a minute increase the flame to high, though bring back down to a low simmer once the cream starts to bubble.?Leave this preparation simmering for between 5 and 8 minutes, and then return the prawns as well as a tablespoon or more of shredded basil leaves, freshly cut.?Test the taste, compensate for any lack of salt, and finally serve alongside whatever favorite side dish you may have (a good tip is simply white rice, or a plate of pasta).?With all this done, you will be ready to serve the finest garlic prawns recipe you could ever imagine tasting.
